Hao Meli is a special place on Gaia. From it's one-of-a-kind structures that have become homes to numerous nyms, to the wildlife that cannot be found in most other places. The distinctly unique fauna of Hao Meli is due to the city's natural environment; being underwater instead of on land.
Despite the storms that occur out at sea, the city far enough below sea level to remain mostly undisturbed. Known for beautiful coral reefs within the cityscape, and a fun section of sea caverns to explore that are home to various peaceable sea snakes, Hao Meli is a destination full of life at all hours.
Additionally, once a year the city of Hao Meli is blessed by Mare, the aquatic Archon, so that it may emerge from the ocean's depths. This allows every kind of Nym to visit and explore where they otherwise would be unable to venture. Thanks to Mare's blessings all the underwater plants and creatures get surrounded by an impenetrable aqua sphere as well, so none of them are harmed from being lifted from the sea. The annual festival is simply magical and one that nyms of all sorts travel far and wide to experience.
